I was recently looking back over some old role-playing profiles and I came across one for an old character that I barely ever used called Ray'kele Makius. Ray'kele, as you may know from following my work, is a character in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode I - The Chosen One. He is a member of the Ophuchi Clan and a very spiritual figure, one who is a mentor to Padme and will become one for Michael Lars.
When I created the Ray'kele Makius character, the Alternative Saga was far more religiously oriented than it is now. Don't get me wrong, it certainly has its religious elements and is meant to be spiritual, but I often tried to tie western Earth religions into it. For example, the Force was the power of God, whom I called Yahweh after the Jewish name for God. I say that to preface something I'll be mentioning later on in this post.
As I said before, the Saga was much more religious than it is now. However, one thing that I noticed when reading the Makius profile was how closely it still aligned with what I'm doing with The Chosen One and its sequels now. I may not call the Force Yahweh anymore, but some of what I found was still apt. The primary example was a vision that the character received in binary, which translates to this:
- "When the Chosen One returns, the Shaman himself will descend from the light of the nebula with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpets of Yahweh."

Not all of that applies anymore, but it is still the purpose of this blog: to show you that connection in order to give you a hint as to the destiny of the Chosen One and the salvation of the galaxy—salvation being the galaxy's liberation from the shackles of the dark side.
