Earlier today, a proposal for a four (4) year time skip in the plot of TheStarWarsRP.Com was announced and introduced. A .PDF file format write up, which can be found here, was released as well. This write up details the four years of the skip, which advances the timeline to 12,973 BBY.

For the last couple of months, the staff and the faction leaders have been discussing a small time skip in the timeline. The reason for this is that, even though this timeline has been really good, in order for the timeline to reach its fullest potential there are some things that need to happen that would take too long to actually role-play out. Let me make something perfectly clear: what you're about to read is not a timeline change. It is not the fifth timeline. It is a four (4) year advance into the future, starting right at the beginning of 12,973 BBY, in what we could essentially call "The Fourth Timeline, Part 2." This write up has been agreed upon by many people already: me, Matt, SIN, Nexus, Lavi, Hakim, Lucid, Adena, Santoro, and Sreeya—including other users like Boli, Sheo, and Ols. Phil has also seen part of it that relates to one of his characters. Each of us feels that this will be good for the site and good for the role-play. It allows us to sustain the timeline longer, and it allows us to bring the timeline to its fullest potential: great battles between all factions, none of the factions in hiding, and epic battles between good and evil, complete with big Jedi vs. Bogan lightsaber battles! | |
