The Unknown Regions was a region of the galaxy. The pocket dimension Ashlan Four was located within the Ashlan Nebula, a sector of the Unknown Regions, and it was the location of the Order of the Whills. Darth Plagueis, a the Dark Lord of the Order of the Sith Lords in the years prior to the Invasion of Utapau, defended the right for his friend's son to love the daughter of a dictator in the Unknown Regions.[1]
