Tulak Hord, known also by his fellow Sith as the "Lord of Hate" and the "Master of Gathering Darkness," was an ancient Dark Lord of the Sith in the First Sith Empire. His mastery of the powers of the dark side and his combat prowess allowed him to be a nearly unrivaled Sith Lord.
Biography[]
Tulak Hord was Sith in the First Sith Empire who rose through the ranks of the Empire, casting fear into his rivals with his mastery of lightsaber combat and powers of the Force. It was during this time he fought a duel of honor against Khem Val, who became one of his closest allies. On behalf of the Empire, Hord and Val assembled an army of followers and led a campaign against rebel millitants on Yn and Chabosh, where the rebels were destroyed. His use of Sith magic during the battles led to his followers giving him the titles "Lord of Hate" and the "Master of Gathering Darkness," and he continued to be undefeated.[1]
Despite his prowess as a warrior, Hord continued studying Sith magic, and he authored a put forth many pieces of knowledge for future Sith to learn from, including his own holocron. The Sith Lord was rumored to have discovered the secrets of eternal life, but this was not known for certain as he scattered his teachings in order to ensure that only the most worthy of individuals could learn what he knew.[1]
In addition to his studies, Hord discovered and conquered the Dromund system, and it was later said that he brought over one hundred worlds into the First Sith Empire. It was during this time that he took on an apprentice, Ortan Cela.[1]
