The timeline of galactic history spans from the earliest known days of the Pre-Republic era to the New Republic era, specifically 4 ABY. In the Alternative Star Wars Saga universe, galactic history is documented in the Journal of the Whills on Ashlan Four using the time stream.[1]
Pre-Republic era[]

- The prophet Michael writes the Prophecy of the Whills, foreseeing the Whills residing on Ashlan Four and writing the Journal of the Whills.[1]

- Matthew of Skywalker leads the Order of the Jedi Bendu to Brodo Asogi where the Jedi Bendu locate the Whills, who agree to travel with the Jedi Bendu to Ashlan Four.[1]
- The Order of the Whills is founded and the Whills begin writing the Journal of the Whills.[1]
- Unknown year
- Eden, a Jedi Bendu who fell to the dark side, is exiled to Tatooine where she is left to die. A Force nexus ultimately causes her appearance to manifest itself in the Temple of Desire.[1]
- Pre-25,000 BBY
- Jonathan Bac is born into the Bac family to Conrad Bac and Conrad's wife on Alderaan.[2]
- Conrad Bac is assassinated on Onderon.[2]
- The Coalition of Planets, an alliance of multiple worlds, is founded. Member states include the Organian Empire of Alderaan. Organian Admiral Jonathan Bac becomes an ambassador to the alliance.[2]
- The Unification War is fought between the Organian Empire and the Anarchic Brotherhood of Planets.[2]
- 25,000 BBY
- The Anarchic Brotherhood of planets is defeated, ending the Unification War.[2]
- The Galactic Constitution is signed, giving rise to the Galactic Republic.[1]
- Jonathan Bac becomes the first Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic.[1]
- Coruscant is chosen as the capital of the Republic.[3]
Old-Republic era[]

- Jonathan Bac's two terms as Supreme Chancellor end and he retires to Alderaan.[2]

- Xendor is exiled from the Order of the Jedi Bendu—later said to be the Jedi Order—for practicing the dark side of the Force.[1]
- Xendor discovers the Kaiburr crystal in the Unknown Regions.[1]

- Decades later, Xendor organizes the Legions of Lettow and launches an assault against the Jedi Bendu on Coruscant. Xendor and his forces are defeated.[1]
- One of Xendor's surviving minions takes the late Dark Jedi's Kaiburr crystal to Utapau, where it is adopted by the Gungan people as part of their religion.[1] Xendor's manifesto is taken by another surviving legionarre to Conscio in the Outer Rim Territories.[4]

- The Jedi Bendu Schism occurs, breaking the Order of the Jedi Bendu into the Jedi Order and the Bendu Order; the later settled on Kal'Shabbol in the Unknown Regions, while the Jedi became the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy.[3]
- Zios Malachor becomes the first High Priest of the Bendu Order.[1]
- The Jedi Bendu Schism is covered up by the Republic and ultimately forgotten.[3]
- The Hutts take over the planet Evocar and rename it Nal Hutta.[3]

- The Alsakan Union invades and takes control of Coruscant from the Republic, beginning the Alsakan Crisis.[3]
- Jedi Grandmaster Banik Kelrada convinces the Alsakan Vicar Lharra to end the war, but she is killed by her own advisers in order to continue the war effort. The Alsakans implicated Kelrada in the assassination.[3]
- The Alsakans launch attacks against Republic forces on Ruan, Bessimir, and Metellos.[3]
- A schism in the Jedi Order results in the creation of the Ospion Guardians, a rogue group of Jedi who left the Order following a disastrous Jedi conclave.[3]
- The Republic re-claims Coruscant from the Alsakan Union.[3]
- Supreme Chancellor Relana Isolde Tanoor is assassinated by an unknown assassin during a Galactic Senate session.[3]

- The Battle of Alsakan marks the end of the Alsakan Crisis; the Republic emerges victorious from the battle, though it is bittersweet as the planet Alsakan is devastated when the Alsakan military leaders crash the orbiting ring city Xenvaer onto the surface.[5]
- Alsakan refugees who survive the destruction of Xenvaer scatter throughout the galaxy. Some assimilated into the Galactic Republic, whereas others join together in groups such as the Alsakan Restoration Movement.[5]

- The Corellian Parliament impeaches Prime Minister Anthoni Berethro Salandra following a failed secession attempt from the Republic and the murder of thousands of civillians. He is given a trial and removed from office.[6]

- Corellia works to regain its stature within the Republic. Etesutr Hapor is elected Senator of Corellia and distances himself from Salandra and his actions.[6]
Rise of the Empire era[]

- The Ophuchi Clan fragments and scatters throughout the Outer Rim Territories, but they are reorganized by Ussej Padric Bac, the Shaman of the Whills.[1]

- The Guardians of Lettow become part of the Order of the Sith Lords following the Hol Insurrection.[1]

- Damien Nightblade, the immortal former Jedi Grandmaster, becomes the apprentice of Darth Erilis and is known as Darth Plagueis.[7]
- Ussej Padric Bac warns Plagueis that, if Plagueis dies, his death will usher in the Apocalypse.[7]
- 41 BBY
- Despite last-minute pleading from Ussej Padric Bac, Darth Plagueis allows his apprentice to kill him; the new Dark Lord takes the Sith throne, and the Apocalypse begins.[7]
- Annikin Skywalker, the supposed Chosen One, is born to the virgin Shmi Skywalker on Tatooine, having been conceived via immaculate conception.[1]

- The Galactic Republic and Jedi forces suffer a major defeat during the Battle of Yinchorr, part of the Yinchorri Uprising.[8]
- Following their defeat on Yinchorr, the Republic and Jedi capture the Yinchorri High Command during the Battle of Uhanayih, ending the war.[8]
- The Trade Federation Directorate is killed during a summit on Eriadu; the Neimoidian members of the Directorate, Nute Gunray and Lott Dodd survive, allowing Gunray to become the Trade Federation Viceroy while Dodd assumed the role of Galactic Senator.[1]
- The Republic Anti-Slavery Law is signed, outraging the Trade Federation.[1]
- Darth Maul contacts Nute Gunray with a proposition to blockade and invade Utapau, the Federation's goal being both revenge—Utapau was a principal supporter of the slave law—and an attempt to force the Republic to overturn the slave law.[1]

- The Federation launches the Invasion of Utapau, placing the planet under its subjugation; Queen Sabe Arcadia escapes in an attempt to reach Coruscant for the Galactic Senate's help.[1]
- Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi discovers Annikin Skywalker on Tatooine.[1]
- The Clone Wars breaks out in the aftermath of the Invasion of Utapau.[1]
- The Battle of Tholatin is fought between the Galactic Republic and the Mandalorian Clans.[1]
