Tatooine, called the Land of the Twin Suns in prophecy, was a desert world in the Tatoo system, part of the Outer Rim Territories; during the Invasion of Utapau, the planet was controlled by the Hutt Cartel. Annikin Skywalker was born and raised on the planet, and the Ophuchi Clan formed and inhabited part of the planet's Dune Sea desert. The planet was home to the indigenous and sentinet Tusken Raiders and a number of other species, as well as non-indigenous species such as Humans, Bith, and Aqualish.
