The Skywalker family was a Force-sensitive bloodline on Tatooine during the final days of the Galactic Republic. The earliest known member of the family was Shmi Lars, who took the surname Lars after she married Cliegg Lars. Shmi had one son, Annikin Skywalker, who was born via immaculate conception, and a stepson, Owen Lars. According to the Ophuchi Clan and Ussej Padric Bac, the Shaman of the Whills, Annikin was destined to be the Chosen One.^[1]
