The Ophuchi believed Michael Lars was the Chosen One.
The salvation of the galaxy was a supposed event spoken of in prophecy that foretold of a battle between good and evil. The prophecy of salvation, which was predicted to be brought about by the Chosen One, was known to the Ophuchi Clan.[1]
Within the Ophuchi, who believed they had a role to play in galactic salvation,[2] there were different interpretations about how it would come about. Sarus, the leader of the Ophuchi in 22 BBY, believed that the Chosen One would be a great warrior who brought about salvation by defeating the armies of evil. Padmé, however, believed that salvation would come not only through a warrior but in the goodness of the galaxy's people.[1]
