Protocol droids were droids designed to assist sentient beings in their relations with one another, and they were programmed mostly for etiquette and protocol. Some protocol droids worked as servants, such as TC-14, and others served as helpers in other daily routines, such as C-3PO. Protocol droids were assigned to mimic Human behavior, and they were designed with the appearance of Humans.[1]
