Ophuchi sages were individuals in the Ophuchi Clan dedicated to understanding the mysteries of the Force. They studied under a member of the Council of Elders and dedicated themselves to achieving enlightenment. They strived to have deep insights into the philosophies and powers of the Force. Sages believed it was important to make contact with the Jedi Order to maintain an understanding of the Jedi, but the sages only did so without revealing who they were in order to keep the existence of the Ophuchi Clan a secret.[1]
Ray'kele, an Ophuchi who lived in 22 BBY, was a sage, as well as an archaeologist.[2]
