The Hutt Empire was a commercial empire made up of Hutt crime lords and various other criminal species in the Outer Rim Territories. The profit-driven empire's desire for economic dominance brought them into many conflicts with neighboring powers and species.[1]
In the years after the Alsakan Crisis, the Hutt Empire fought a number of conflicts in their attempt to dominate galactic markets. The Empire participated in the Hutt War after accusing the Galactic Republic of attempting to encroach upon Hutt territory.[1]
