The Great Territorial War was a conflict that took place between the Galactic Republic and the Third Sith Empire. The war was set some time between the Mandalorian Wars and the New Sith Wars. By the time of the Invasion of Utapau, school children would play war games with their friends and re-enact the Great Territorial War. Holo-dramas were made about the war depicting Republic soldiers rushing into combat to defeat the Sith in order to defend freedom and liberty.

Prelude[]
In _____ BBY, following the redemption of Darth Revan by the Jedi Order and the defeat of Darth Malak, the Dark Lord of the Sith, the Jedi Civil War came to a close. Blah blah continued conflicts.
A number of Jedi not killed during the purge hid from the Sith forces; Jedi Master Brarh Kefle and his apprentice, Ussej Padric Bac, hid on Corellia. The Jedi Order ultimately came back together; the order reorganized itself and was able to reestablish a place as the protecters of the Galactic Republic.
War breaks out[]
Twenty years after the Order was called back together, a number of Jedi, including Jedi Knight Ussej Padric Bac and Jedi Master Damien Nightblade, were summoned to the office of then-recently inaugurated Supreme Chancellor Stavan Jetzt. In the meeting, Jetzt informed them of reports he had received stating that remnants of Revan’s Sith Empire had formed a new empire and were receiving a flow of weapons from the Uvena system. Although skeptical of the claim, the Jedi agreed to send Bac and Nightblade to the system to investigate the reports.
Ussej and Damien arrived in the Uvena system and found themselves in the middle of a war between Uvena Prime and Uvena III. When the war ended, they followed the trail of weapons to Korriban, where they discovered that the Sith had orchestrated the Uvena conflict in order to acquire the weapons for themselves. Bac and Nightblade were attacked and were nearly killed trying to escape with the information. They were able to return to Coruscant, however, where Jetzt declared war against the Third Sith Empire, beginning the Great Territorial War.
