Darius was the leader of the Ophuchi Clan immediately prior to Sarus. When Sarus was a young man, Darius met with Sarus at an old Ophuchi settlement in the ruins of Arrakeen. Darius told Sarus that Sarus had a spirit inside him that had lived for a hundred thousand years and would continue to live for many more years.[1]
