Real-world information

Rise of the Empire era[1]

Dana Vash was a Human female Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars. Vash, a descendant of Jedi Master Lonna Vash, was seen by her superiors as a potential future Jedi High Council member. Despite only being twelve years older than her first Padawan, Dormé Parricida, the two formed a close relationship, akin to sisters and, in some cases, a mother and daughter. Vash gave off a stoic and professional appearance, but she was also a soft and caring individual, similar to her apprentice.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Dana Vash is a character created by authors Brandon Rhea and Edward Oliver for the Alternative Star Wars Saga. The character was announced in a blog posting on March 12, 2010, on Star Wars Fanon, the Star Wars wiki of fan invention. The authors chose actress Olivia Wilde to portray the character.[1]
