Michael Lars was the Chosen One.
The Chosen One was an individual who, according to prophecy, was destined to bring about galactic salvation. The Ophuchi Clan believed that Michael Lars was the Chosen One, though different members of the Clan had conflicting views as to the certainty of salvation.[1]
