An astromech droid was a type of droid that served as an automated mechanic during the Invasion of Utapau. Said to have been very skilled workers, a number of astromech droids served aboard the vessel of Queen Sabé Arcadia of Utapau. They attempted to fix damage to the ship caused by a Trade Federation blockade, but all but one droid, R2-D2, were destroyed.[1]
