Alderaan.
Alderaan was a planet in the Core Worlds and one of the founding members of the Galactic Republic. Prior to the formation of the Republic, Alderaan was the capital world of the Organian Empire, which became a member of the Coalition of Planets. The planet was home to the first Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, Jonathan Bac.[1]
The planet was governed by a monarchy, the Antilles family, for thousands of years. When the Republic fell circa 19 BBY, the planet became a member world of the Galactic Empire.[2]
