The year 7 before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) was a period of time during the reign of the Galactic Empire. After having met one another throughout their childhoods, nerf herder Epin Lanmaw and Leia Organa, the Princess of Alderaan, began developing feelings for one another, much to the condescending amusement of Epin's father, Sadvo Lanmaw. It was the first time either of the two, both twelve standard years old, had such an experience. It was during this period that Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi continued speaking with the princess' adoptive father, Bail Prestor Organa, to check up on her.[1]
