The year 3,955 before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) was a period of time in the aftermath of the Jedi Civil War, which ended one year earlier. In the war's aftermath, the remaining Sith launched the Dark Wars and a civil war between the various Sith factions vying for control of the Second Sith Empire after Darth Malak's death. The year also marked the beginning of the Telosian Restoration Project in the hopes of rebuilding after the devastation left in the wake of the Sith attack on Telos IV during the Jedi Civil War.[1]
