The year 12,989 before the Battle of Yavin (BBY) was a period of time during the Great Hutt Wars. The Dark Jedi of the Bogan, formerly known as the Ospion Guardians, left their hidden base on Conscio after choosing Ando Prime as their new home. When they arrived, they killed the Bendu monks living in the Andobi Mountains and built a temple over the remains of the monks' temple.[1]
As the events on Ando Prime were taking place, the Jedi Order underwent a change in leadership. Grand Master Dewbecca, who led a reformation in the Order after the schism that created the Ospion Guardians in 13,000 BBY, left the Jedi Order and returned to his homeworld of Kashyyyk.[6] He was succeeded by Jedi Master Colm Lorian.[5]
